The Fragrance Shop, the UK’s leading Independent Retailer is now recruiting for a HR and Recruitment Assistant to join the HR team and be based from our Head office located at Trafford Park, Manchester.

 

Working within this fast-paced role you will be responsible for being the 1st point of contact for all HR queries across our 200 store estate, Head Office and also at Per-Scent. You will provide administration support with all HR processes and procedures including the issuing of Contracts of Employment, changes to Terms and Conditions and ensuring the smooth flow of data to the payroll department. You will also provide support with recruitment including arranging interviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the HR and recruitment processes, procedures and systems in which you will be working so that you can offer suitable administration support within the business
  • Provide support to the on boarding processes and ensure all Contracts of Employment are issued in a timely manner.
  • Provide administration support with recruitment matters.
  • Work with all HR team members with the flow of information including maintaining records.
  • Support with the next stages of implementation for the HR and Payroll process improvements
  • Work with teams across the business to improve onboarding process to support the retention of team members.
  • Ensuring an effective leavers process.
  • Support with exit interviews as appropriate
  • Administering HR communications through a range of media.
  • Working on specific HR and recruitment Projects.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required

 

Experience/Skills:

Experience and skills required for the HR and Recruitment Assistant include:

  • Experience working within a busy HR and/or recruitment team where the role is varied and complex would be a considerable advantage. In particular supporting recruitment, payroll, case work and leavers processes.
  • Understanding processes and writing procedures.
  • Experience working within a HR system would be advantageous.
  • It is of particular importance that you can manage your workload, be proactive and like achieving results both personally but also for the benefit of the team and the business.
  • You enjoy working as part of team, making decisions which contribute to the businesses success.
  • You possess the ability to be confidential, treat issues with sensitivity and discretion.
  • You enjoy ensuring that your records and data are maintained and correct and have strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, internet and social media platforms).
  • Your style will fit well with the company if you are used to being flexible, able to prioritise and manage relationships.
