The role:

The team at Per Scent are looking for a well organised Trading Assistant who will be responsible for the management of sales and relationships with particular customers. The Trading Assistant will manage and ensure that the sales process runs smoothly from beginning to end accordingly.

 

What you’ll be doing:

Coordinate with other internal departments to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our goods and services according to customer needs. 

Build and maintain strong communication with the Buyers, keeping up to date with any changes in stock, orders, delivery and any other matters. 

Keep track of all negotiations and prices agreed by emails or meetings. 

Communicate product and pricing details clearly and correctly. 

Chase, raise and check that sales orders are correct in the tracker and on our system (PSO). 

Process orders as requested and update the tracker accordingly. 

Create, amend and update their forecast accordingly in PSO. 

Identify needs and opportunities and put forward suggestions.  

Be in constant contact with the Buying team regarding stock deliveries, forecast and stock availability. 

Request samples and packaging information needed from the warehouse when new line forms are needed. 

Check that all sales orders have been picked and delivered 100%. If the order is short, investigate why and when, liaising with the buying team and informing the Buyer in advance. 

Assist with high severity requests and issue escalations as needed. 

Following the dispatch of orders, ensure they are invoiced and updated on the tracker accordingly. 

Update and send the sales amount that is going to be invoiced per week to the Financial Director on a weekly basis.  

Prepare sales reports from each account accordingly (previous sales, turnover etc.)  

Assist with miscellaneous tasks to support the team.  

 

What you’ll bring:

Proven work experience in a similar role such as a Junior Account Manager or other relevant experience.

Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation. 

Solid experience with MS Office (in particular MS Excel). 

Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects at a time whilst maintain excellent attention to detail. 

Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills with a solutions-focused approach.  

Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
