Role Overview
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our existing first-class Finance team on a 3 month fixed-term contract, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.
This requires a person who is natural at building relationships and can fit into current accounting processes. You will be a candidate who is self-motivated, conscientious and able to work under your own initiative, as well as part of a team. Key Accountabilities:
Ownership and accountability for the store estate ensuring daily reconciliation of tender to sales
Weekly store expense control and monitoring
Chargeback prevention and defence
Compliance reporting
Ownership of reporting and KPIs for cash and expense management
Online queries
Daily transactional audit process and reporting
Managing store banking procedures, documentation and handling associated external relationships
Development and maintenance of procedures and processes to improve business wide loss prevention
Liaise with stores and assist with queries
Ad Hoc work

Prior experience of working with a transactional ledger within a retail or similar environment
