We are seeking a National Account Manager who will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key wholesale and trade customers, driving commercial success through effective negotiations and account management.
Your focus will be on maximising sales, ensuring profitability, and securing the best deals for both our business and our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales or account management, preferably within the fragrance, beauty or FMCG industries, and a track record of success in managing wholesale or trade accounts.
What you’ll be doing:
Account Management: Manage key wholesale and trade accounts, ensuring strong relationships, effective communication, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and profitability across the trade and wholesale account portfolio.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, stock selection, and contract terms to secure favourable agreements that support the company’s commercial goals.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, adapting strategies to capitalise on opportunities and address challenges.
Deal Pursuit: Demonstrate a tenacious pursuit of the best possible deals, ensuring both the company and the client achieve their commercial objectives.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Purchasing, supply chain, Operations and finance, to ensure successful product distribution and account operations.
Reporting & Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to the Sales Director, contributing to the company’s overall sales strategy.
New Business Development: Identify and explore new business opportunities within the trade and wholesale sectors to expand market presence and distribution.
What you’ll bring:
3+ years’ experience in sales or account management, ideally within the fragrance, beauty or FMCG industry, with a focus on trade and wholesale customers.
Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts and securing the best deals to benefit both the company and customers.
Willingness to travel within the UK for client meetings and account management. Occasional international travel may be required.
