The Brand Manager will be responsible for continuing to build and implement a strong brand identify for The Fragrance Shop’s newest initiatives. We are looking for Brand Managers to take ownership of the subscription/membership online businesses ‘Yu Parfums’ and ‘scentaddict’ and also the My TFS membership service. The Brand Managers for these initiatives will manage the creative, campaigns, brand story and own the overall brand book.
This role will take day-to-day ownership of the campaign development, design, editorial, copy, experiential, and content deliverables, and will report to the Head of Marketing in delivering the overall brand strategy for these two digital brands. They will need to think and combine creative, commercial, and operational excellence. Internally, you will be the voice of the brands.
New developments in The Fragrance Shop group mean we’re also on an exciting and steep growth track, with innovative plans currently underway and further on the horizon. These plans will see us continue to grow as the leading fragrance destination, increasing our brand portfolio whilst also expanding into international markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BRAND MANAGER
- Support the Head of Marketing in brand and campaign development, from conceptual thinking through to delivery and implement strong strategies to ensure consistency of brand across all touch points.
- Help build brand guidelines for all key stakeholders to use in ensuring brand consistency.
- Ensure brand consistency across multi-channel touch points, managing the content and deliverables of email, social and all other forms of content.
- Ensure content and messaging is executed on required channels at the right time so that it delivers the brand story to the right audience.
- Ensure we are creating engaging story telling through our content.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (CRM, Social, PR, Performance Marketing, Campaigns, B&M) to deliver compelling and engaging campaigns and push out content.
- Oversee and ensure thorough implementation of the brand guidelines (including TOV, brand identity, brand values).
- Monitor consumer reactions through focus groups and market research.
- Provide art direction on photo and video shoots.
- Be a source of inspiration, bringing new ideas and concepts.
- Maintain positive relationships with third party/external clients, agencies and suppliers.
What success will look like (non-exhaustive list):
- Buy-in of the Creative and Brand Strategy from senior management
- Priority KPIs showing an upward trajectory including, but not limited to: customer engagement; sales and profit growth and brand awareness and positive sentiment
- A well developed and happy team, and suppliers who are adding value
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
- 4+ years related Brand and Creative experience with demonstrated success in the role(s) working for either a brand or an agency.
- Experience developing and executing successful campaigns and creative in a retail, editorial and online environment.
- Experience in community management, social media management, and digital marketing, managing various channels and brands simultaneously.
- Experience managing and growing a successful creative team.
- Excellent knowledge of content, social media, digital, and media landscape.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to effectively manage key working relationships.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
- A strong creative eye, with a highly-developed visual sense.
- A solution focused approach with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Demonstrable experience delivering content and creative on time and within budget.
